Blue Sky Wildlife, an online collection of unique birdwatching and wildlife tours from around the world, has won the TravelMole Best Responsible Travel Site for 2017 at the TravelMole Web Awards.
Launched less than 2 years ago, Blue Sky Wildlife was shortlisted for the coveted travel award alongside Responsible Travel and Tribes, two well-established businesses in the travel industry.
“To win the Best Responsible Travel Site award is amazing, considering who we were up against, and how long the site has been live,” said Chris Larsen, Managing Director of Blue Sky Wildlife.
Blue Sky Wildlife is the digital wildlife trading name of BluSky Marketing, that has been involved in the internationally acclaimed British Birdfair since 2009, supporting over 100 exhibitors. It was this involvement at the Birdfair, along with experience in the hotel industry, which inspired Chris Larsen to launch Blue Sky Wildlife with Richard Goodchild, a local digital consultant, in collaboration with Tim Appleton, co-founder of the Birdfair.
Blue Sky Wildlife is one of the only responsible tourism websites in the world dedicated to ecotourism and wildlife tours, presenting more than 75 wildlife tour operators and companies to a global audience, with conservation being a key focus.
The collection of wildlife tours listed on Blue Sky Wildlife varies from birdwatching in Colombia and swimming with dolphins in New Zealand to gorilla trekking in Uganda and a classic safari in Botswana. All tours can be booked directly with the tour operator to secure very competitive prices.
